Day Camp

Day Campers can enjoy all the benefits of going to a Camp Fire camp during the day at Camp Glen, while returning to their home each night. Camp Glen is located on the banks of the Sandusky River just outside of McCutchensville.

The Camp Fire day camp programs also offers archery, canoeing, wood working and experimenting with outdoor science are just some of fun filled activities; a Summer Camp Experience all under the watchful eyes of trained counselors. Summer camp helps bridge the gap between childhood and adulthood by building self-esteem, leadership skills and stretching the imagination while gaining an appreciation for the environment and community.

Camp Fire Northwest Ohio offers a variety of Day Camp Options for youth in Kindergarten- 6th grade. We offer convenient before- and after- camp options for the working parents!

Leadership development volunteer experiences are available for those youth in 7th through 12th grade, Learn More.

Youth entering grades K – 6th may register for Day Camp. We provide transportation for campers to Camp Glen from the Camp Fire Office, or campers have the option to be dropped off at Camp Glen by a parent or guardian.

Camp Glen Day Camp

Parent/guardian must provide their child’s transportation out to Camp Glen for this day camp. Daily drop-off and pick-up will be at our Camp Glen facility. Unfortunately due to COVID, we are not offering transportation to and from camp this year. 

Campers must bring sack lunch, water bottle and two snacks daily.

Can’t make it to camp this year? Virtual Camp are an alternate choice for campers to join camp activities virtually!

Themes will follow the Day Camp Schedule below. Cost is $40 per youth, which includes virtual lesson and supplies. Supplies will be available for pick up each week Wednesday-Friday from 3pm-5pm, or by appointment; or supplies can be shipped for $13.95 additional fee. K-2 will meet virtually from 10am-11:am; 3-6 will meet virtually 1pm-2pm daily. 

To kick off the camp season, we are offering an extra two extra weeks of Virtual camp prior to our Day Camp Schedule! 

June 22-26- Space Camp

Suit up for a mission to the International Space Station or train for a landing on the moon! Space Camp is the ultimate educational experience that illuminates real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

June-29-July 2- Art Camp

Imaginations soar as campers explore a wide variety of art techniques and media! With the natural world as our backdrop and our imaginations as our guide, the creative possibilities are endless! This two day art camp provides children a wonderful introduction to explore art. Artwork created during Art Camp could be display in the County fair, surrounding businesses, or the Camp Fire office!

July 6-10 Traditional 2, K-6, $150

Our traditional day camp includes water games, archery, fishing, canoeing, crafts and outdoor
adventures. Traditional Camp include and walk through our Thriveology framework, developed
by the Thrive Foundation to help kids find their Spark: through nature, develop a growth
mindset, and reflect on their outcomes! Join us for fun filled days of making friends and trying
new things.

July 13-17 Amazing Race, K-6, $150

You may have seen The Amazing Race on T.V., come on enjoy the experience for yourself!
Become part of a team and compete in the ultimate race around Camp Fire. Amazing race
incorporates traditional key elements of team building activities: it encourages communication,
decision making under pressure and creative problem solving.

July 20-24 Super Hero’s, K-6, $150

Unlock your super powers during this adventure-filled week. Discover the hero in you through
challenges, adventures, and good deeds. Grab your mask and capes as we launch ourselves
into fun and games!

July 27-31 Mad Science , K-6, $150

Put on your engineer’s hats for this exciting week of science activities. We will learn about
chemical reactions that they might encounter in our daily lives and the nature of birds and
beasts, as we take a walk on the wild side of science.

Aug 3-7 Fitness Fun on the Fly, K-6, $150

Aug 17-21 S’more Camp Fun Before Back to School, K-6, $150

Want to have S’more fun? With the first day of school looming in the distance, it may feel as if all
hope is lost to find a summer camp. We are headed back into the woods for one last fun-filled
adventure. Have a blast playing games, hiking, learning about nature and more.


Camp Fire is in process of applying to be an ODJFS Licensed Facility and is required by State law to follow all licensing and summer camp guidelines for health and safety during this pandemic. All children who register for summer camp will also be required to fill out the JFS forms prior to attending our programming. We also want to ensure children have an environment that allows them to Thrive and reduces the stress of this situation to them. All Camps take place at Camp Fire Camp Glen 6580 S. Township Rd., Tiffin, OH. We will be engaging in independent outdoor activities that limit contact and ensure youth will continue to learn in a manner that meets our curriculum. The following will be implemented daily to ensure safety:

  • All children will be scanned for temperature prior to entering our program daily. Any child who has a temperature at or over 99 degrees will not be able to access our program.
  • Any parent, volunteer and staff member will be temperature screened if they enter our building or programming area.
  • Drop off and pick up procedures will be implemented daily.
  • Youth, staff, parents and volunteers will be asked to wash their hands upon arrival, after designated activities ( eating, outdoor play, crafting etc), and before they leave the grounds for the day.
  • Sign in and out procedures will be done by staff to eliminate cross contamination.
  • Hourly sanitation will occur to ensure.
  • All groups will be limited to 9 youth ages 14 and under with two staff/volunteers per group.
  • Additional hand washing stations will be set up through campus.
  • Children can wear masks but are not required to. All staff, volunteers and visitors are required to wear a mask while inside our building or assisting youth closer than 6 feet from each other with limited exceptions.
  • Daily health screenings will occur and parents will be required to verify the child is in good health daily.
  • Additional health and safety precautions may be taken and required based on ACA or ODJFS guidelines.

Campers should wear/bring the following items daily:

  • All campers must wear closed toed shoes (no crocs); tennis shoes or closed toed sandals with a heel strap are permitted.
  • Two snacks and a sack lunch; one that does not require refrigeration, and a drink or water bottle.
  • Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and bug spray.
  • Sweat shirts, jeans and old tennis shoes – for cool weather and exploring.
  • Sandals and flip flops are permitted only to be worn only during water activities.
  • Snacks will be available for sale during lunch. Bring small amounts of cash if planning to make snack purchases.
  • Water is available all day for free. Campers are encouraged to bring water bottles to fill throughout the day.

Before/After- Camp Care

  • Camp times run from 9am-4:30pm.
  • All youth who are at camp prior to 8:45 or after 4:45 will be charged 30 minutes for Before-/After-Camp care.
  • Before-Camp Runs from 7:00-8:45am, After-Camp runs from 4:45pm-6:00pm
  • Rate is $4.50 an hour per child.
